Most recently, Kent Hospital healthcare workers have partnered with international aid organizations to respond to the humanitarian crisis in Turkey and Syria after devastating earthquakes have left over forty-six thousand people dead, and tens of thousands injured, amid crumbling infrastructure.
Drs. Jinen Thakkar, Laura Forman, Hadeel Zainah, and Mery Deeb led efforts to collect critical supplies to help rescue and healthcare workers respond in the midst of this crisis. They collected medical and surgical supplies, baby formula for term and preterm neonates, diapers, sheets, tents, sanitary products, canned food, and air mattresses.
